About the event

"The only real voyage of discovery exists, not in seeing new landscapes, but in having new eyes." - Marcel Proust

Our default mode of thought when looking for improvements is to ask “what’s wrong?”or “what’s the problem?” . This deficit oriented mindset hone in on the weaknesses rather than looking at patterns of what is already going right.  Yet mining and spotting strengths have so many benefits.

Some of the benefits of knowing and using our strengths are  (Pang & Ruch, 2019; Niemiec & McGrath, 2019; Linley, 2008; Harzer & Ruch, 2016):

  • Intrinsic motivation
  • Increased meaning
  • Coping
  • Authenticity
  • Positive feelings
  • Improved psychological wellbeing
  • Less stress and reduced depression
  • Engagement and job satisfaction

How might we rewire our brain to notice and name our strengths more?

How might we understand the patterns in our behaviors and how we engage with others using our strengths?

How might we harness the power of our strengths make them be more visible?

These are the questions we will explore in this 90 minute interactive workshop. Please do register only when you can be fully present for the learning session. You will get a free copy of the Strengths Toolkit when you register for this event.

THIS WORK IS OFFERED THROUGH A "DONATE WHAT YOU CAN" OFFERING. Most of our workshops are provided through voluntary work. For individuals with expendable income, donations are welcome and can support us in providing this work for more people from marginalized sectors. If you are interested in bringing this to your schools or organizations please do contact us directly.

We believe passionately in the accessibility of our work around neurodiversity and that no one should be excluded in learning because of financial circumstances. We are able to provide this work through voluntary means & we do not want finances to be a barrier for educators worldwide to access this program. Donate What You Can model offers people to pay what is within their capacity. Those who can afford to pay the recommended price ($50) or more offer the chance to support others who can’t.
