Here is our first version of the Strengths-Based IEP using the SOAR method.

The SOAR framework consists of four key components: two current (strengths and opportunities) and two future-focused (aspirations and results). It is an appreciative inquiry process that asks generative questions to encourage people to voice their feelings and thoughts about what really matters. 

STRENGTHS:  What is already going strong?

OPPORTUNITIES: What are the possibilities?

ASPIRATIONS:  What are our dreams or wishes?

RESULTS:  What are meaningful outcomes?
